Hawaiian Apple Cider Vinegar Drink

Hawaiian Apple Cider Vinegar Drink

There are few things I love more than a tasty apple cider vinegar drink, as evidenced by one or two different versions I’ve shared in my stock of healthy eating recipes. I love this stuff, and I drink it every day.

That said, you may have tried it and scoffed at the taste, but what if you could transform it into an exotic Hawaiian drink?

The good news is that you can do all that with this Hawaiian apple cider vinegar drink recipe. It has a zippy, sun-kissed flavor and works to get the cells in your body functioning optimally.

Why jump on the detox bandwagon?

Like I’ve said before, you don’t need to go all out by starving yourself to detox. Drink this detox elixir often and you’ll definitely notice changes in how you feel. I formulated this drink with key ingredients that flush out toxins and balance the pH of your body.

Drinking apple cider vinegar helps to rid the body of excess salt, fluids, and toxins by increasing your urine output. Additionally, it supports the liver and kidneys in processing and eliminating waste. The same thing goes for lemon juice.

Essentially, this apple cider vinegar drink—fancy though it may be—is like additional insurance to rid your body of unnecessary baggage.

It also helps to rebalance the body’s natural pH, which tends toward acidic when we eat sugar and refined grains. An alkaline imbalance causes fatigue, compromises the immune system, and makes us more vulnerable to chronic disease. When lemon and apple cider vinegar are ingested, they have alkaline properties that aid in making an acidic pH more alkaline.

A Fun and Tasty Apple Cider Vinegar Drink Recipe

Before making this drink, head to a natural foods store to purchase the best quality ingredients—it really does make a difference.

Look for apple cider vinegar with the “mother”, which means it retains natural enzymes and minerals.  It may look cloudy, but that’s what you want. It makes it even better for digestion, and has been shown to lower cholesterol levels and displace some of the harmful bacteria in your body.

You’ll also want to look for Manuka honey, which is a bit pricier than regular honey, but well worth it. This particular honey is made when honeybees pollinate the “manuka” or “tea tree” plant in New Zealand.

Manuka honey holds remarkable antibiotic and antibacterial benefits, and it’s proven to be effective in fighting infection and promoting healing.

Along with detoxing the liver and kidneys, lemon juice helps to balance blood sugar, and contains high amounts of vitamin C for an immune boost and glowing skin.

So sit back, relax, and sip on this tasty, health-boosting Hawaiian apple cider vinegar drink, umbrella optional!
