Hey it’s Yuri.
I want to take a minute to give you a lay of the land and to let you know what to expect here. And most of all, welcome you home (perhaps).
What you’ll find on this page is more about me and my company’s philosophy then the 1-2-3 of getting fit.
And if you love learning about health and nutrition, then here’s how you can boost your nutrition IQ even further, here.
From the above 3 recommendations, you can probably tell what I’m best known for is:
- Helping you burn fat and get in great shape…without killing yourself in the gym or depriving yourself of delicious food.
- Helping you enjoy way more energy…without caffeine or sugar.
- Giving you a much better (and science-based) understanding of nutrition and how your body works…without complicated and confusing details.
In the meantime, I think it’s important you START HERE because it will help you determine whether or not I’m a good fit for what you’re looking for.
At the same time, by telling you what I stand for and against, my hope is that I’ll attract only the right “like-minded” people into our community.
So consider this our first date, if you will.
If you like what you read here and want to go deeper, then that’s great. If not, that’s totally cool as well.
This is Much More Than Just a Fitness, Nutrition, and Health Site:
You don’t need more information. You need the right information. More than that, you want someone in your corner supporting and encouraging you. That’s what I’m here to do for you. And as any good coach, I’ll give you the occasional kick in the butt to keep you on track.
If you want the “51 ways to lose weight” or “30 odd uses of coconut oil” type of information, there are plenty of other generic sites that can provide that plain vanilla type of information.
Here, you’ll find some articles on these topics but with a unique “Yuri twist”, as I inject my expertise, personality, and “realness” into everything I do.
With a strong educational background, over two decades of experience as a nutritionist and fitness expert, battling with my own issues, and having played professional soccer, I offer you unique perspectives on a variety of health, nutrition, and fitness topics that you are not likely to find elsewhere.
Yet no matter the topic, I realize you’re probably here because you want to improve some aspect of your health – your life. And that’s great because my ultimate objective is to help you BE YOUR BEST!
I will give you strategies to help you eat cleaner, train smarter, and achieve anything, which will ultimately help you become the best version of yourself.
I’m not here to tell you that you should look a certain way or there’s only one way to exercise or eat for great health. There isn’t. You are unique. My goal is to provide you with fundamental principles you can apply into your life no matter the workout or diet regime you’re following.

How I do anything is how I do everything. So “I can’t” doesn’t exist in my world.
I am fit, healthy, and happy because I do.
Perfection isn’t my goal. It’s giving it everything I’ve got. That’s good enough for me.
And if that means failing, that means learning.
Because I’ll always be growing and daring to be my best.
So I refuse to be a passenger in it.
I strive to make tomorrow better than today.
I savor my successes.
I learn from my mistakes.
I embrace new challenges.
And whatever life brings, I make it count.
Because I’ll never give up on being the best version of myself.
We are all meant to shine.
So I do what I can to lead by example.
I exercise because I enjoy it, not to repent my dietary sins.
I seek balance in what I eat, not confining dogmatic diets.
I find happiness in moments of mindfulness.
I let myself be vulnerable.
And I love who I am.
Because the ultimate success in life is being my best self and knowing that that’s good enough.
This life of mine is a privilege, not a right.

Who This Site Is For:
Now that you know what we’re all about, let me introduce you to our “Y Tribe” (stands for Yuri Tribe) so you get a better sense of the community we’re creating here.
But first, you should know I’m in this for the long haul. I’m not a spammer or a fly-by-night online business that won’t be around tomorrow. I’ve been around for a while and will be for a long time to come. In fact, my mission is to help 10 million people by 2018 to vibrant health. I’d love for you to be one of them.
Even though I want to help as many people as possible, this site is not right for everyone. If you’re all or none, rather than balance and moderation, then this probably isn’t right for you. If you aren’t willing to do the work, then I’m not your man. If you’re obsessed with counting calories and weighing yourself every day of the week, then you’re in the wrong place.
This site for people who take 100% responsibility for their life (and their health).
We are “health hobbyists”. We love being active and eating well and we enjoy living a good life. We love a fresh green juice and the occasional almond milk decaf latte. We understand that results come from our own efforts so we’re willing to do the work. We believe in learning, doing, and trying our best…and that we can never fail as long as we keep moving forward.
We are willing to workout, but in a way that makes us feel good, not crushed and exhausted. We exercise because we enjoy it, not to repent our dietary sins. We are willing to eat well. We seek balance, filling our plates with lots of greens and real foods whenever possible, but never ashamed to bite into the occasional brownie.
We don’t follow dogmatic diets or belong to fanatical dietary cliques. We aren’t food fanatics, rather healthy foodies who seek balance. We love how we feel when we fuel our body with fresh real food, an energizing workout, and a moment of daily mindfulness. We believe a happy body is healthy body, and seek to make healthy happen everyday. We believe one’s ultimate success in life is being healthy and being your best self.
