Those who suffer from chronic anxiety are at high risk for cardiovascular problems, mainly due to an increased heart rate, high blood pressure, and exposure to high levels of cortisol, which stesses the heart and can cause hypertension, stroke, and heart attack.
There’s also strong evidence to suggest anxiety aggravates asthma. (1)

Gastrointestinal problems are yet another physical manifestation of chronic anxiety. Your body may experience problems with acid reflux, bloating, diarrhea, ulcers, and the absorption of certain nutrients.

Natural Anxiety Relief Measures
Armed with this knowledge about the toll on our bodies from chronic anxiety, what can we do to try and relax?
Along with meditation and consistent exercise, I recommend the use of natural anxiety relief foods, such as this amazing all natural anti-anxiety juice.
It’s made with kava kava root extract, which has been used for centuries by Pacific islanders for its relaxing properties.
Chemical compounds in kava kava affect brain chemistry in a similar way that prescription anti-anxiety medications do. Consult with your doctor before taking kava kava, although most people don’t experience side effects from this relaxing root.
I’ve also added lemon balm to this recipe, due to the anti-anxiety effects it creates. Lemon balm is in the mint family, and it contains an enzyme that produces a calming effect. The anti-anxiety juice also contains beetroot, since it’s a natural remedy for anxiety.
If you feel that anxiety is getting the better of you, it’s important to keep it from becoming chronic. This natural anti-anxiety juice will help you find calm and help keep chronic stress at bay.
