Are you on the hunt for a Candida cure because you suspect you have Candida Albicans?
In this article
Candida is one of those awful conditions that can be hard to get a grip on. While none of its symptoms are life-threatening, they wreak such havoc on your quality of life that you’re just not the same person if it’s taken up residence in your body.
Make no mistake: you have to get rid of it and I’m going to tell you about 5 natural remedies that can help. But first…
In case you don’t know, Candida albicans is a yeast-like kind of fungus.
Its major symptoms are:
-
- Gut and digestion problems
- Oral thrush (white coating on the tongue)
- Sugar cravings
- Stiff, achy joints
- Brain fog
You may have only a few of these Candida symptoms, or you may have all of them. If you have even a single one and it’s become problematic for you, you should give these Candida remedies a try.
The best thing about it is that it’s immensely beneficial for your health even if you don’t have Candida, so there’s really no reason not to try it.
Searching for a Candida Cure: 5 Natural Remedies
1) Caprylic Acid
A major component of coconut oil, caprylic acid is a fatty acid that can be taken in tablet form. If by chance you can’t get the tablets, you can just take a tablespoon of coconut oil several times a day.
Is coconut oil bad for you? Absolutely not. In fact, I’ve written a number of articles on the health benefits of coconut oil, including 59 coconut oil uses and benefits.
But if you’re still worried about coconut oil in terms of its fat content, you don’t have to be. It’s a saturated fat, but most of its fats are medium-chain triglycerides, which means that they’re actually used by the body and burned as fuel, not stored as fat, like other fats.
This actually makes coconut oil a great fat-burning supplement, but let’s not explore the physiology of that right now.
Just understand that caprylic acid is a very potent antifungal and antiyeast agent, which makes it a really helpful Candida cure.
2) Garlic
Garlic essentially has the same effect on Candida as it’s said to have on vampires: it eradicates it!
Of course, garlic is a great cooking ingredient, but it’s also a very powerful antifungal, antimicrobial and antibacterial agent.
These amazing medicinal properties are largely due to allicin, one of the active ingredients in garlic.
You can get more garlic by simply cooking with more of it. However, if you want the most potent, allicin-packed version, you need to take it raw. This is where things get a little interesting.
In order to get as much allicin as possible from each pod, crush the garlic on a cutting board, and if you’re brave enough, swallow the pieces whole. That’s going to get right to your gut and work its magic.
I will warn you though: the afterburn and after-breath are pretty strong!
If that’s a little too strong for you, you can also take garlic supplements. They’re not as potent as raw garlic, but still effective. Simply choose which delivery mechanism is best for you.
Here are some powerfully effective garlic recipes:
3) Oregano Oil
Oregano oil is a much more potent version of oregano, which is a herb that we typically put on our pastas.
I recommend a mixture that is 50 percent oregano and 50 percent olive oil. You can also go with a mixture that’s one part oregano to three parts olive oil.
The key is to go with what you can handle. Like garlic, it’s strong stuff.
Whatever you choose, you can take oregano oil by simply putting a few drops under your tongue and letting it sit there for a moment.
If that’s a little too intense for you, you can also buy empty veggie caps, fill them with oregano oil, and shoot those back with a sip of water.
Do this about two or three times a day for a two-week span at the most. Take a couple days off, then get back into it.
Your body can become used to oregano oil to the point that its benefits don’t work on you anymore, so you want to use it in cycles.
4) Apple Cider Vinegar
Next is one of my old favorites: apple cider vinegar.
It’s really simple to take. You can do the insane thing which is to fill a shot glass and knock it back in one go, or you can put one or two tablespoons in a glass of water and drink that a few times a day. I go with the latter.
I would actually encourage you to have some apple cider vinegar whenever you’re drinking water.
Even better, try my apple cider vinegar drink recipe. It has antifungal and antibacterial properties and is so beneficial for your health that you really should take as much as you possibly can. Give this inexpensive Candida cure a try.
Here are some of my other favorite apple cider vinegar recipes:
- Nature’s Flu Shot and Cold Buster
- Hawaiian Apple Cider Vinegar Drink
- Switchel: The Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Drink
- Apple Cider Vinegar & Greens Detox Salad
5) Hydrogen Peroxide
The final addition to our Candida cure protocol is hydrogen peroxide.
I do need to issue a little warning with this, however: ingesting hydrogen peroxide requires some guidance, so see if you can find someone knowledgable at your local health food store (which is also where you’ll find it).
You shouldn’t ingest any old hydrogen peroxide; what you want to find is 35% food-grade hydrogen peroxide. It’s very different than what you use to clean cuts and scrapes with.
When you do find it, you certainly don’t chug it. Instead, you take a small drop and add it to a glass of water; that’s it. You only want to take it sparingly.
What you’re essentially doing is giving yourself a hit of super-oxygen.
Too much is no good, but just the right amount is very effective at eradicating a lot of this yeast and fungus that can take hold inside your body.
Those are the five best natural remedies for treating Candida Albicans.
