The #1 Food That Gives You All-Day Energy

Want to know the most common question I’m asked?

“What’s the number one food that gives you energy?”

My answer is always the same: No single food is going to override the overall quality of your diet.

It’s true: If you have McDonald’s fast food seven days a week and you think that having goji berries or acai berry juice is going to make the difference, you’re going to be disappointed.

When it comes to eating for energy, there is one simple food you can add to your diet every single day that is going to make a dramatic difference in how you feel.

The single easiest way to boost your energy is by adding more greens – like from a greens powder – into your diet.

Food That Gives You Energy

The reality is that whole foods are the best for providing energy: By that I mean juicing, making smoothies, and eating fresh foods.

But what do you do when you’re on the run? What do you do when you’re traveling? What do you do when you don’t have the fruits and veggies in your fridge, but you still want to make sure you get quality nutrition?

That’s why I suggest using a greens powder, and that’s also why I spent several months developing my very own formulated 100 percent certified-organic energy-greens drink mix.

Obviously, this seems like shameless plug for my own product, which I think it’s amazing and that’s why I’m sharing it. But you can use any kind of greens powder you want, mine or a product you find at the health food store.

It couldn’t be simpler to get the benefits of greens into your diet. All you do is put the powder into a glass, add some some water, and stir.

And you end up with an an awesome blend of eight superfoods, which include barley grass, alfalfa, chlorella, spirulina, goji berry, maca, vanilla, and cinnamon, which tastes great.

The really cool thing about my product is that we chose to use juice powders, which means that it blends easily in water. I frequently put it in a mason jar so I can carry it around with me to drink throughout the day.

We developed this product because we didn’t find anything out there that was worth recommending to our clients.

But as I said above, this post really isn’t about having you buy my product. It’s about encouraging you to add greens to your diet.

Why Go With Greens?

The benefit of adding more greens into your body is that they will help alkalize your blood.

When your blood is more alkaline, your red blood cells can carry oxygen throughout your body, and that is the key to producing energy. If your cells don’t get the oxygen they need, you don’t feel very good. This is a very simple way to do things on the go.

Start your mornings with a greens drink. After lunch, during that mid-afternoon lull, get a glass of greens in and it’ll make a huge difference in your energy.

And if you’re stopping by a juice or smoothie bar, grab a green juice instead.

The whole idea here is that you want to get more greens into your body because it’s the most powerful way to boost your energy.
